PAX’s Sahel programme has been active in the region since 2021 under the Power of Voices programme funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The programme aims to strengthen the voices of local based CSOs in terms of advocacy, peacebuilding and research. By working in tandem with its partners on the ground, PAX’s own work principally covers Burkina Faso, where we have 4 partners, and Niger, where we have 1.

The following video gives an overview and insight into the work of 3 of PAX’s partners in Burkina Faso during 2023. Located in 3 separate regions in the country, PAX’s partners undertake a range of different activities and projects with the expressed aim of addressing of some of the multifaceted causes which currently sustain conflict in the Sahel region.
