Twice dispossessed: Palestinian refugees in Syria deprived of housing, land and property rights (Arabic)

Impunity Watch and PAX supported the efforts of a team of Palestinian-Syrian researchers to collect hours of first-hand testimony of the experiences of Palestinian Syrians from Yarmouk Camp, from its establishment in 1948 to the battles and sieges of the Syrian conflict post-2011, its occupation by ISIS and finally its re-occupation by the Syrian regime and near-emptying of its residents who had lived there for generations. This report focuses on the means Palestinian-Syrians have used to secure their housing, land and property (HLP) rights and the challenges they face in this complex context, aiming to give more space to voices from Yarmouk – not only as sources but also as producers of knowledge.
