Financial institutions manage enormous amounts of money in companies. It is therefore crucial that they do not invest in industries linked to human rights violations or environmental destruction. The Fair Finance Guide believes that banks, insurers, and pension funds must take responsibility by investing sustainably to avoid damage or suffering. In other words: their investments should be fair. We research and publish detailed assessments of their policies and practices, giving consumers the tools to demand better and helping to push institutions toward real change. Our goal is a financial sector that actively contributes to a just, peaceful, and sustainable world. The Fair Finance Guide is for everyone who wants their money to support, not harm, people and the planet. Within the Fair Finance Guide, PAX is mostly involved in the themes ‘human rights’ and ‘arms’.
