Reimagining Peace: Mobilising Men for Gender Justice and Feminist Peace

Lessons from Activists in the South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA) Region and East Africa

In deeply militarised and conflict-affected contexts, it is essential to unpack the drivers of men’s use of violence such as colonialism, militarism, poverty and inequality and build collective strategies to confront militarised masculinities to engage men in advancing feminist peace.

This paper summarizes the key insights and collective learning and strategies that emerged from a 4-day regional learning exchange held in Nairobi, Kenya from 23-26 February 2025.
