The third and final cohort of over 50 women lawyers, advocates, and male allies completed a PAX-organized, German-funded three-day training in Juba in March 2026, focused on legal frameworks, customary law, lobbying, GBV documentation, and coalition building. Participants gained both legal knowledge and practical advocacy skills, with many expressing newfound awareness of constitutional protections that customary practices frequently undermine. Graduates committed to establishing local awareness campaigns, strengthening networks of women advocates, and engaging more actively in drafting and reviewing laws affecting women and girls. PAX extended gratitude to the German government for their unwavering support through the EWI project in advancing gender justice across South Sudan.
