Now more than ever, the world needs feminist, inclusive, and diverse leadership. The global distribution of power based on gender inequality favors masculinity, oppresses women’s rights, increases the risk of war, and brings out the worst in many world leaders. Look around you, look at Trump, look at Putin. Their hunger for power and perverse need to prove themselves are putting the world in danger. In the Netherlands too, both the women’s rights we have fought for and our support and solidarity with peace activists worldwide are under pressure.
However, we shouldn’t forget that there are many of us, and we must make ourselves heard. It’s time for action. During the Feminist March 2025, we honor the strength and courage of those who came before us, who fought for our rights, the peace activists we work with worldwide, and we commit to the generations that will come after us. On March 8, we will form a peace bloc to emphasize that peace, freedom, and democracy can only exist in a feminist world. The future is feminist!
