The meeting was part of the Programme sur la Sécurite Humaine, which aims to contribute to security in Burkina Faso until 2031. It marks an important step in exploring opportunities for synergy between security stakeholders. ‘We want to address local issues with a holistic approach to tackle local problems,’ says PAX project lead Roger Minoungou. Experiences were shared during the meeting, with the aim of identifying overarching problems and finding joint solutions.

The programme focuses on mobilising stakeholders within communities to make their security, protection and development concerns transparent. ‘We want people themselves to participate in creating the solutions so that they are widely supported,’ says Minoungou.
