Israel commits genocide. And the Netherlands? We continue to do military business with Israel. Officially, more than 50,000 Palestinians have already been killed. In reality, many more. Virtually all buildings in Gaza have been destroyed or damaged. Almost all the two million inhabitants are displaced and starving as Israel uses food as a weapon of war. Israel violates human rights and commits war crimes on a daily basis.
On Sunday 18 May, more than 100,000 people formed a red line through The Hague to send a clear message: The Netherlands must draw a red line and do all it can to stop the genocide.
Despite this, the Netherlands continues to supply arms to Israel and buy billions worth of Israeli weapons. This is how our government feeds the Israeli war industry. Also, there is still military cooperation between the two countries and, despite the extreme violence, the Netherlands wants to conclude a new military treaty.
This must stop!
We demand a complete arms embargo and an end to any military cooperation with Israel, meaning:
- Stop selling weapons
- Stop procurement of weapons
- Stop transit of weapons
- Stop military cooperation
- Stop military treaty
